What's in the Bottle?
One of the greatest benefits of transitioning to vaping is knowing exactly what you are consuming. Unlike combustible tobacco, which contains thousands of chemicals, premium e-liquid consists of just four primary ingredients.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
A natural, thick liquid derived from plant oils. VG is responsible for vapor production (the "clouds") and adds a subtle natural sweetness to the liquid. We use 100% Kosher, USP-grade VG.
Propylene Glycol (PG)
A thinner, odorless liquid commonly used in food and medicines (like asthma inhalers). PG carries the flavor effectively and provides the "throat hit" that mimics traditional smoking.
Flavorings
Food-grade flavor concentrates. At Weather System Vapes, we meticulously source our flavorings to ensure they are free of harmful additives like Diacetyl, creating a safe and pure profile.
Nicotine (Optional)
Extracted from the tobacco plant, nicotine is added in varying strengths (0mg, 3mg, 6mg). We use highly purified USP-grade nicotine to ensure a smooth draw without peppery off-notes.
Understanding PG vs. VG Ratios
You will often see ratios like "70/30" on e-liquid bottles. This refers to the blend of VG (Vegetable Glycerin) to PG (Propylene Glycol). Choosing the right ratio depends on your device and what you want out of your vape.
-
High VG (70% or higher): Best for sub-ohm tanks and modern devices. Produces thick, dense clouds, a smoother throat hit, and slightly sweeter flavor. (This is the Weather System standard).
-
High PG (50/50 Blends): Best for smaller pod systems. Produces less vapor but delivers a stronger throat hit and sharper flavor notes.
Maximizing Coil Life
Nobody likes a burnt taste. Weather System flavors are engineered with balanced sweeteners to preserve your coils, but proper maintenance is key.
1. Prime Your Coils
Before firing a new coil, apply a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton. Fill your tank and let it sit for 10 minutes to ensure full saturation.
2. Mind Your Wattage
Always stay within the recommended wattage range printed on the side of your coil. Vaping too high will burn the cotton instantly.
3. Keep Your Tank Full
Don't let your e-liquid drop below the wicking holes on your coil. If the cotton goes dry while you vape, it will burn.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is vaping safer than smoking?
According to Public Health England and various global health organizations, vaping is considered significantly less harmful than smoking combustible tobacco. While not entirely risk-free, it eliminates the tar, carbon monoxide, and thousands of toxic chemicals created by burning tobacco.
How do I choose the right nicotine strength?
If you are a heavy smoker transitioning to a sub-ohm device, 6mg is usually recommended. Lighter smokers often start at 3mg. We also offer 0mg for those who have successfully stepped down their nicotine intake but still enjoy the physical habit and flavor.
Does E-Liquid expire?
E-liquid typically has a shelf life of 1 to 2 years. To preserve the flavor and prevent the nicotine from oxidizing, store your bottles in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
